Using mandarin oranges instead of maraschino cherries adds a fresh new spin on this classic recipe. Be careful, this cake is good. You might just eat it all.
10" Dutch oven
6 - 8 Servings
- White cake mix
- 1 can pineapple rings
- 1 can mandarin oranges
- 2 eggs
Mix cake mix according to package directions, except using 2 eggs. Lay pineapple rings in bottom of 10" Dutch oven, put the oranges in the holes left by the pineapple. Add cake mix on top and bake for 30 minutes until cake passes the toothpick test. Let the cake cool a little then invert onto a plate.
